THE END PRESIDENTS DAUGHTER PART2 EPI43

While wondering and thinking deeply on how my life will turn out, then I started realizing something, I have met with Promise about three times and I didn’t see or notice any wedding ring on her finger. Could it be that she lied to me? Why would she lie to me? After all, she’s supposed to be married by now. I just set my mind to investigate if she’s truly married or not.

The Doctor had me tested but my blood type did not match with hers, he advised me to go get a close relative as they don’t have the type of Mirabel’s blood in their blood bank. The first thing I did was to call Mirabel’s oldest sibling Adesuwa who also resides there in America but in another state in Oklahoma. She promised to take the next available flight to Nevada where we reside. I also called Mirabel’s father – the president and informed him about the situation at hand, I told him about Adesuwa’s coming, but he insisted on coming as soon as possible in case if Adesuwa’s blood won’t be enough.

I quickly dashed to the kitchen and turned off the gas cooker, from there to the room where I met Mirabel picking her stuffs.

Me: Mirabel what are you doing?

Mirabel: **picking her stuffs ignoring me**

I went to her and stopped her from taking her things…

Mirabel: Let me go

I dunno what’s in the diary, but her reaction just got me feeling so nervous and scared on what she might have discovered.

Me: Why would you go through her diary? It’s so not right na, you’re invading her priv…

Mirabel: **cuts in** If I hadn’t gone through it, I wouldn’t have discovered this secret you both are hiding

Me: That diary must be containing her private life, please respect it and go keep it for her; I don’t want to know what’s in it please…

The look on her face when she was handing over the phone to me was so unusual; i collected the phone from her thinking I got a night call or something.

Me: What’s up dear?

Mirabel: Victor where have you been?

Me: What’s wrong that you even called me by my name?

I turned around and saw Mirabel standing at the doorpost; it’s surprising because she came unannounced.

Mirabel: Fred, what was that you just said?

Fred: I think your boyfriend and my girlfriend having an affair

Mirabel: Oh really?

Fred: Can’t you see their so-called friendship? They’re having an affair right under our nose

Me: Mirabel…

We turned around and saw Nancy standing in the middle of the entrance; I didn’t shut the door when I came in.

Me: Nancy, you’re back

Nancy: Yeah… I came to check on Promise and the door was opened so i… I’m here

Promise: Welcome

Nancy: Thanks! So… what’s going on?

The following day in the afternoon, I got myself ready and zoomed off to the apartment with my mother’s car. I called Nancy and told her about my coming, she said she’ll be at Vincent’s place so I can speak with Promise.

I got there; Promise received me in to the house. I noticed how she was trying to hide her bruises from me. I don’t want to do as if I already know about it, so I just played along with her as we engaged in conversation.

Promise: You didn’t tell me you’re coming; I would’ve prepared something better

We concluded our exams and it was a good one. We gathered outside talking, taking photos and other things; we were just so happy. The department organized a party but we won’t be attending it; Fred arranged a small indoor party for us, that is; Me, Promise, Mirabel, and Cynthia. And also Nancy and Vincent will also come.

He took us to his house later that night; he has a beautiful house with fleet of cars. He entertained us very well and it was really fun as we were all in twos except for Cynthia, she broke up with her boyfriend. We appreciated him and left there after hours of fun and playfulness.

Marcus never stopped sending me “Please Call Me” messages during those nine days and I kept on ignoring him until he called me himself and I picked up.

Me: Hello

Marcus: Hello man you said you were gonna’ help me; I’m totally broke mahn… please!

Me: Why did you ask me to meet up with you?

I decided to call him through the message he sent after much thought and he picked up after seconds of ringing.

Marcus: Hello dude

Me: Marcus was shot dead in front of me, so who are you? (Pretending like I dunno)

Marcus: It’s me, I didn’t die… I escaped death

How can Marcus be alive when he was shot dead right in front of me, she must be hallucinating or something because for Marcus to be alive is impossible to me. And i hope that i don’t start hallucinating about Dorothy too.

Me: Where are you now?

Mirabel: In a saloon, just made my hair

Me: How did you see him?

I got to the lodge some minutes past 7; I parked outside Cynthia’s lodge. I called Vincent to inform him of my presence and he told me to go straight to the venue and wait for them. I went to the venue and saw how well they did to the place, but the place seemed to be dark a little. I moved closer checking the place out and saw someone there.

Me: Promise…?

Promise: Hey you’re here

Me: Why are you here alone?

**Never look down anybody**

What someone is today might not be the same tomorrow. That someone has nothing today doesn’t mean he won’t have everything tomorrow. Never think low on someone because he isn’t worth anything compared to others especially when the same person is not lazy but struggling hard with his talents, skills and strength to make something good out of his life. Testimonies comes in different ways… what you are today might not be what you’ll be tomorrow; my story is different from yours and your story is different from others, so never look down on anybody. How shameful and embarrassing it is for you to go back to who you left, you regret leaving him/her because he/she didn’t have what you wanted. Everyone has his or her own Grace in life, so always think positive and never look down on anybody. “The stone the builders rejected can become the cornerstone”

I just had to compose and calmed myself from that awkward moment, the feeling was hard but I had to be a man as he is also a man.

Vincent: Victor? Victor? Victor!

Me: Yea… yes?

Vincent: What’s up with you bro? What have you been thinking of that you couldn’t even hear your name?

Me: Nothing… just uhmmm… nothing really

They started providing medical attention from the military’s moving vehicle before we got to their clinic for proper medical service. They injected me something and I slept off immediately; that’s when they did operation on me to remove the bullet without me knowing.

I dunno how long I slept but I woke up and the first person I saw was Vincent who was seated on a nearby chair reading a book and then Mirabel seated side by side with Nancy. None of them could see that I was awake and I couldn’t utter a word. I could feel the pain from where I was shot; so I was like that till Vincent sighted me.

Vincent: He’s awake

***KNOW THIS***

“Ask and it shall be given to you”. Our earthly Parents may know what we need but they’d expect you to tell them by yourself what you really want. We all know that GOD is our FATHER and HE knows our various heart desires; He expects us to have it in mind that HE’s always there for us and for us to ask HIM for our needs. There is nothing neither too big nor too small to ask our GOD. HE is always there for us only if we could go to HIM. HE is our ALL SUFFICIENT GOD! And always remember to thank HIM for everything. How would you feel if you did someone a favour and he/she refused to say ‘Thank You’?

Something I got to realize from what Vincent revealed earliar was that…”Do not do to people what you wouldn’t want them to do to you”.

After she left the room, she came back a couple of minutes later with Marcus.

Marcus: Hey what’d f--k did you say I did to you?!
**Speechless**
Marcus: Huh?!
**Speechless**
Marcus: He’s f*ckin lying mehn! Why can’t he speak out?
Dorothy: You threatened his life!
Marcus: This dude is lying! I didn’t do nothing!!
Dorothy: Victor say to me again what he did to you

The First lady called me later in the evening to know if the kidnappers had called to ask for anything, I didn’t tell her about it. I only assured her not to worry that we’re seriously working on their rescue. I made it known to her that Marcus is not going to hurt Mirabel because he is obsessed over her and wants her for himself.
Vincent and I engaged ourselves in both joint and personal prayers for God to deliver the girls from the hands of Marcus save and unharmed.
