It was a bit rowdy when they got to thepremier of the movie at the Cinemas inVictoria Island. The parking lot was filled tothe brim and cars had begun to park on thestreets. The chauffer driving them found aspot just adjacent the Galleria entrance andparked the white Range Rover AutobiographyExquisite Edition neatly. Sean and Eva wereattending as a couple and were all smiles asthey got off the jeep and walked to the redcarpet. For Sean it was an opportunity to getout of the house and get some air after elevendays of compulsory house arrest. He sawnothing amusing about the whole charade. Hewas not going to be in any sort of action. TheColonel’s instruction was to be all smiles andplay nice. He itched for action. He had notused the gym in close to two weeks. Hismuscles already felt flabby. He wanted to feelalive. He fought the temptation to break awayfrom Eva and snoop around. He knew he wasnot going to get any chance to do that. Evawas to make sure of that. He kept up the act, smiling dryly at the cameras and posingintermittently for the paparazzi. For Eva it was another day to show off hercurves, to display her beauty and to benaughty. The Colonel was on the thirteenthfloor of a bank, three hundred yards oppositethe Galleria. He had already set up hisdevices, and was looking through the eyes ofhis powerful binoculars, monitoring guestsand waiting for his golden fish to arrive. Therewas a sniper rifle set up on a tripod to his left, overlooking the street through an openwindow. For the Colonel it was a night tostrike the predator. He was going to wait forthe perfect moment, and then he would attack.Unseen. Unnoticed. As the Video Jockeyinterviewed Eva who was holding on to Sean’sarm, Sophia walked in to the Galleria. She wasdressed in a beautiful red short sleeved gownwhich accentuated her curves. She wore lightmake up and her beautiful face shined in theillumination of the room. Sean saw her first. His eyes met Sophia’s. They were locked inthat gaze for about 10 seconds until someoneaccosted Sophia, asking that she take apicture with him. Eva was busy replying thequestions from the VJ. However she had seenSophia too, but none of them noticed. Seanscratched the middle of his head with hisforefingerThe Colonel saw the sign.“Roger that papi. I see her.” The Colonel said.Sean heard it through the wireless earpiecethat was carefully and strategically placedinside his left ear. He brought his hand to hismoustache, rubbing it gently. It was a sign totell the Colonel that he had lost visual ofSophia.“Sir, you look really good. What are yourexpectations for this movie?” The VJ askedSean“I think it is going to be a great watch thankyou. We want front row seats so we have togo now.” Sean replied, cutting him off andleading Eva away from the red carpet andtowards the cinema room. As they walked,Sean whispered to her ears,“Is she alone?”Eva did not turn or look sideways. She knewthe message was not for her but for theColonel.“For now she looks alone. But I doubt that shecame here unaccompanied. Soon, I will be ableto sniff out her goons. They are doing a goodjob of blending in right now but they will givethemselves away before long.” The Colonelreplied to Sean’s ears.“Okay Davinci.” Sean finished. They stood in a queue, waiting for the cinemaroom to be opened so that they could go inand watch the movie.Sophia was still on the red carpet takingpictures and signing autographs. She waswidely known for her varying range of designerclothing called SophFactor and thehumanitarian works she was deeply engagedin. She watched as Sean and Eva moved tothe waiting line and noticed how close hewhispered to Eva. She fought the desire tograb Sean and kiss him softly on the lips. Hewas looking very handsome and cool. However, she was not alone.

There were a few agents in the room instrategic positions and a handful outside thebuilding. Sophia wore a gold necklace with agolden Versace head pendant. It was not justa pendant. It was a tiny but powerful indoorcamera. There were five agents in a black fordvan six buildings away from the Galleria, working the phones and watching every singlesurveillance footage within a kilometer radiusof the vicinity. Ope was in the van and he wasresponsible for Sophia’s safety. He had accessto the tiny powerful camera embedded withinher necklace.“A lovely couple, aren’t they?” Ope saidThe golden studs that Sophia had in her earholes were not just earrings. They were audioreceptors to listen in on whatever informationOpe and other agents had for her.“Ope. You really want to look for trouble don’tyou?” Sophia replied, walking towards thecinema entrance to join the already longqueue of waiting people. She spoke verysubtly, barely opening her lips. Nobodynoticed anything.“Pardon me ma’am. It was just a harmlessobservation.” Ope replied.Sophia cleared her throat, making softgrunting sounds. Ope understood what shewanted.“It’s a code green. Targets are visible and theweather is good enough to tango. We arekeeping close watch on the two lovebirds. Ifwe get a point of entry, we will pass theinformation to you at once.” Ope said.“Okay. Good. What can you see from CAM 2?”Sophia said again, very quietly covering herlips with her left palmCAM 2 was the surveillance camera attachedto the door allowing entry into the viewingroom.“All clear. Sean has been whispering intoEva’s ears too often. I’m thinking they may bescheming something. Be careful Agent S.” Opesaid.Sophia did not reply. She reached into her pretty diamond studdedpurse and took out a small lipstick. It had abutton attached to it. It was not a lipstick butan ultra sound disrupter. When activated, itsends very high pitched frequencies throughthe radio waves, disrupting any kind of signalfor the 50 meters. She had brought the ultrasound disrupter just so that she couldascertain if Sean was having help fromoutside. She had earlier warned all agentsworking with her that when Ope gave the sign, they should all deactivate their ear buds sothat they do not get affected by the disruptedsignal.Sophia brought the lipstick to her chest levelso that Ope could have a good view. She heldit there for three seconds. It was more thanenough time for Ope to warn the others. Asthe queue began to move slowly she pressedthe button.Immediately Sophia pressed the button, Seanheld his head in his hands. He was inexcruciating pain. Eva tried asking him whatthe problem was but Sean was in too muchpain and unable to reply. He tried to controlthe pain, but it was sharp and tore throughhis head. The device in his ear was deliveringa very high pitched sound and only he couldhear it. The people behind him wondered whatwas going on. Eva tried desperately to talk tohim but he would not reply. Still in pain, heput his left forefinger into his left ear andpulled out the tiny round device. He feltrelieved. He held the tiny device in his handsas they entered the very dark viewing room.“I think it’s faulty. It almost turned me deaf.”Sean said to Eva, handing the device to her.Eva collected the device from him, keeping itin a small area of her handbag. As theyclimbed the stairs in the viewing room andwalked through the row of seats, Sean lookedround and backwards. The room was dark buthe was hoping that he could pick out afamiliar face. He could not.Sophia smiled. She had witnessed the smalldrama. Her instincts had been right after all.Sean and Eva were not working alone. The Colonel opened a plastic bottle of Cokeand drank the contents up till half. He hadlost contact with Sean a few minutes back. Atfirst he almost panicked. But when thetransponder came on again, he understoodwhat had happened. Someone had used aSound Disrupter. Before the connection wentoff, there was a brief static. He had heardSean’s barely audible groan before theconnection came back on. He had tried to re-establish contact, calling Sean’s name severaltimes to no avail. Some one knew that Seanwas not alone. The Colonel knew that if hedecided to go in, the whole operation would bejeopardized. That was exactly what theywanted him to do. Draw him out of obscurityand nail him. Sean was going to have to finda way out of this one on his own. Deep insidehim, The Colonel had no doubts whatsoever ofwhat of Sean was capable of.He sipped his coke and prayed that all wouldgo well.****************************************Ambrose was sitting in a chair inside a largeand beautifully furnished office. He was laidback and relaxed, his back resting on theswivel chair and his legs crossed on the desk.He had his hands behind his head as helistened to the soft jazz that played from hisvery old Ipod Unlimited. The office formerlybelonged to Tawo. Upon his recovery Ambrosehad been instructed to take control of theOperations of BeeHive. The current objectivewas to isolate The Colonel. Ambrose was alsomonitoring the Galleria Operation, serving as aback end last resort if things got out of hand.“Incoming message from BeeHive AgentAmbrose.” An electronic voice said from the42 inch computer screen on the wall in frontof him.“Let’s hear it Iris.” Ambrose replied.“The Colonel left target coordinates eighteenhours ago. He was spotted in a black MazdaMpv Le with unregistered plates. Sean and Evawere in the same car.” Iris finished.Ambrose jerked from his chair and got upimmediately. He pressed a button on histable.“Tell me you have more than that.” Ambrosesaid. The button was a direct connection to BeeHiveworking in the floor below him.“Actually we do.” Someone replied.“Is that Agent Nedu?” Ambrose asked.“Reporting sir. After we sent that mail, wetracked the car carefully, noting all landmarksthat it had passed through. It stopped S70Wdegrees and has not moved beyond that forfifteen minutes now. We tracked thecoordinates and it is just half a kilometerbefore the Galleria. The images are beingtransferred to your screen as we speak” Nedureplied.Ambrose turned and faced the huge monitor, hung on the wall. The satellite image of amap on the computer zoomed in on a street. It automatically got out the image of the carand its surrounding.“Nedu, deploy the micro sensors and give mean automatic scan of the whole car.Fingerprints, hair samples, saliva, fart, anything! I need to know who and who were inthat car. Get me the footages from the nearbyCAMs. Streamline them and pick out anyrelevant information that may be of use to us.I want that report immediately. I’m just got acup of warm coffee from the mug. I’d betterget that report before this coffee gets cold.”Ambrose threatened.“Roger that sir.” Nedu said and went off theline.Ambrose opened the drawer to his desk andtook out a long white ear piece. It had asingle cable that connected his ears and hislips. He pressed a button on it and waited asit rang in his ears.“Ambrose. Any updates?” Ope said as Ambroselistened in through his earpiece.Ambrose was pacing the room now, one handon his hip while the other swiped an ipad.“The Colonel is near you. We spotted histransport not too far from you. Bee Hive iscurrently looking for additional info. Be on thealert.” Ambrose warned.“Copy that Ambrose. I will keep a watchful eyeon proceedings although I think Agent S hasan idea already. She has frozen thecommunication between Sean and The Colonelby activating the Ultra Sound Disrupter. Seanwas wired and he fell out. I don’t know whatshe has planned and I haven’t been able totalk to her. I guess she wants no interferencewhatsoever.” Ope replied.“So we wait?” Ambrose asked“No. Nobody waits. Just keep a tab onBeeHive. Be our eyes out here. We have fiveCams around this 1kilometere radius. You canhack into them and control the survelliancesystem. Have Bee Hive maintain a constanttrace, looking for matches between theexhibits they have and the available framesthe surveillance would produce. If the Colonelmakes a move you should be able to see itbefore I do. Then we can counter.” Opeadvised.“Alright then soldier. Over and Out.” Ambrosereplied and the line went dead.As Ambrose sat back in his swivel chair, thedoor to his office opened.“Hello Ambrose. Thank you for holding forte. Iwill take it from here.”It was the General.
Sophia hid herself well among the largenumber of people ascending the steps in theviewing room of the cinema. She watchedSean and Eva from the corner of her eyes asthey settled in their seats. Sophia walked pasttheir row and turned right two rows afterSean’s. She sat in a chair directly behindthem, settling in comfortably. She had no ideawhat she was going to do or how she wasgoing to proceed. She had no clear cutstrategy or premeditated plan. And that washow she wanted it. She knew the importanceof planning. Even Ope had suggested that theycome up with various attack and defenseoptions just in case things got out of control.Sophia had carefully listened as he presentedhis strategies for extraction and infiltration. The objective of the operation was to bug thetargets, trace them to their nest and thenattack.Sophia had seen a lot in her career withGhostCorp especially since they began to dealwith The Colonel. He was always one stepahead no matter how failsafe their plan was. With every check and balance, with everypossibility factored in and with every loopholeenvisaged, they always came second best. TheColonel was always in the know and wasusually more intelligent. Initially, Sophia hafelt that there was someone leakinginformation to The Colonel. However after aseries of serious investigations, she arrived atthe answer; The Colonel knew everythingabout GhostCorp and always predicted everypossible step they would take. The chip shecollected from Ambrose contained everyinformation about GhostCorp prior toBeeHive’s reprogramming. She had no doubtin her mind that The Colonel was aware oftheir little plan to rendezvous with Sean andEva.So she made her decision. She was going togo in with only one plan; to follow herinstincts.Settling in her seat she removed her necklace, putting it carefully in the small purse that shecarried with her. The movie started and theroom went graveyard silent. Sophia’s eyes didnot leave the back of Sean’s head. Shepondered different ways to place the bug inhim.Sean felt very uneasy. He was constantlyaware of eyes behind him. He desperatelywanted to turn and catch a glimpse of hisstalker but he thought better of it. He drewEva close to him, wrapping his big right armaround her shoulders. They cuddled in thatposition affectionately like long lost lovers. Tothe normal eyes, it may seem like a lovers’cuddle. But they did not just cuddle. Sean wastelling her how he suspected someone wasalready onto them. He felt eye peering at theback of his head. He could not just shakeaway the feeling. He told Eva he was going touse the rest room. If anyone followed afterhim, then she should follow. Eva pecked himlightly on the cheek and sank herself deeper inSean’s embrace.Five minutes later, Sean got up and went outof the viewing room.Immediately Sean got up, Sophia thanked herstars. Finally she would get the chance to bealone with Sean. She immediately got up andfollowed Sean out of the room. As she steppedout she asked the guard standing outside thedoor where Sean took. The guard signaledtowards the ground floor. As Sophia began tomove towards the same direction Sean hadgone, she slowly but audibly whispered to theguard;“Stop her.”The guard did not need any furtherexplanations. His orders were clear. Heimmediately stood erect and at attention, waiting for Eva to come out of the door at anymoment. He checked his baton andstraightened his starched black police uniform. Not too long after, Eva got up from her chairand walked through the door.“No one is allowed to leave the cinemas lady”The guard said stopping Eva as she tried toleave the viewing room.Eva ignored him and continued away from thedoor as the guard was talking. She walkedfast, forcing the guard to come after her. Hegrabbed her by the elbow.“I said no one is allowed to leave the viewingroom.” The guard repeated, yanking hertowards him with a strong, turgid pull on herelbow. That was a huge mistake. As he tried to force her hand behind her back, she punched his biceps with her free hand. She turned and twisted, freeing herself fromhis grip. He made to grab her neck with bothhands but she saw it coming. She clasped herhands together and put them in between his.She opened both hands forcefully, making hisarms fly sideways. She punched him fiercely, aleft punch on on the chest and a right one inthe belly. The guard was dazed but stillstrong. He made to get up from his sprawlingposition but she jumped in the air andlaunched a black flip kick to his face. The guard fell on his face. He was not movinganymore.Eva walked-ran into the male toilet. She halfexpected to see Sean and Sophia making out.But the toilet was empty. She was disoriented. There was a near tear in her eyes as shethought of where else to look for Sean. Shehad no idea where else to look. She hurried tothe staircase, jumping three steps at a timetill she got to the second floor. She checkedthe male and female toilets in the secondfloor. Nothing. She was worried. She wasdesperate. As she walked down the stairsdejectedly to the ground floor, hot tears fellfrom her cheeks. She had looked everywhere inthe cinemas and could not find a trace ofSean. Eva knew how ruthless and dangerousGhostCorp was. She had once been aninstrument in their employ. Once you weremarked, you could not escape. She could noteven begin to imagine the kind of torture thatSean would be going through at the moment. Her heart was beating three times faster thannormal. She checked where they had parked. The car was still there. She touched thebonnet to feel whether the car had been drivenbefore she got out. There was no single signof warmth. After fifteen minutes of fruitless search, shewalked back into the viewing room to get herhandbag. She expected to see the guardwaiting to pounce on her but he was not. Evacould not be bothered. She was alreadyemotionally drained and was already on edge. She walked slowly to her seat, picked up herbag and began to walk out of the viewingroom. Then suddenly she rememberedsomething. She opened the small area whereshe kept the device that Sean had given herand took it out. She walked briskly to thestairs, got to the car park and entered her car.She was panting as she got in the car. Sheclosed the doors and engaged the centrallock. She adjusted the rear view mirror as shepeered into it, making sure that she was aloneand not watched. She put the tiny device inside her ear and itglowed green.“Hello DaVinci. This is Diana. Are you there?Come in pls. It’s a red alert.” Eva said, pressing her hand against her ears. She silently hoped and prayed that a replywould come in from the other end. She lookedsideways, turning left and right as she waitedfor the Colonel to reply her signals. The carpark was getting deserted. People werethinning by the second as they went in to seethe movie of the night. It was dark and eerie.“Hello Da Vinci. Come in Davinci. This is a redalert over!” Eva said, raising her voice. She was desperate now and almost in tears. She stifled a sob and bit her lower lip. Shesniffed and cleaned her nose on the back ofher palm. The Colonel doesn’t usually takethis long to reply incoming messages. As she rested her head on the chairdejectedly, two hands came out of nowhereand grabbed her. One holding her mouth andanother covering her eyes. She tried to let out a scream but nothingcame out. Her screams were muffled by thepalm covering her mouth.“Shhhhh….Shhhh…. Be Calm Eva. It’s me.” Avoice said.Eva recognized the voice and relaxed. At thesame time the hands that were holding herrelaxed and loosened its grip.“Dad?” Eva asked, looking back amazed.“Shhhhh….” The Colonel said,“Quiet, Diana.” He finished, taking out thedevice from her ears.“What are you doing here?” Eva asked theColonel feeling relief and worry at the sametime.“I sensed danger when I lost contact withSean. So I had to come down to see things formyself.” The Colonel said.“They took him away. We need to get himback. They took him from under my nose. Iwas a failure. Now I have no idea where tolook. Please help me. Let’s get him back dad.Please.” Eva cried. She had lost every bit of mental and emotionalstrength she had mastered over the years as adeadly spy. This was a very different personfrom the agent that killed targets in cold bloodand did not care for her own life nor that ofany one else. Yet here she was crying her eyesout and acting totally out of order. She wasbeginning to show that she was going to be aproblem if she did not get back to her killer-agent self immediately.“Diana! Snap out of this! What has come overyou? I demand some composure. Now! Or I amgoing to waste you myself!” The Colonelthreatened brandishing a silver .23 semiautomatic.Eva buried her face in her hands as shegradually got herself together. For the nexttwo minutes, The Colonel watched hercarefully as she transformed. With a finalheave and sigh, she raised her head. Thecrying Eva had disappeared. There was adeadly glint in her eyes. It now seemed likeshe had now found a renewed zeal to kill.“Better Diana. Now, this is the plan. Sean wasthe bug. We deliberately left you out of theloop. We planned the whole charade andexcluded you. We needed your reaction to bereal and convincing because of the agentsthat would be watching you. We were countingon G.C to go after Sean once he went to thetoilet which he did. He has been taken bySophia but I know where he is. He has anundetectable wet bug inside him that workswith his heartbeat.” The Colonel said.He brought out his iphone, opened an app andshowed it to her.“The bug is directly connected to his heart.Once his heart stops beating this red dotstops blinking.” The Colonel explained to Evashowing her the red dot.“This is also a tracker. We can find out wherethey are.” The Colonel finished.Eva was not interested in any of thetechnological gibberish her dad was spewing. With clenched teeth, she spoke.“I am ready Da Vinci. Just tell me who I haveto kill.”****************************************************The General pushed the button on the tableconnecting him to Bee Hive.“Who is in charge of things down there? Thisis the General.”There was a momentary pause. Seconds latera voice replied.“I am now in charge, Marcus. Things aregoing to change from here onwards.”It was the voice of SoSophia watched the small 14 inch screen on
her table as she spoke. The General lookedvery upset. He had never been confronted byany of his Lieutenants ever in all his time asan enigma in the force. She smiled to herself. The General had no idea she was watchinghim. She had instructed Ope to rerun thecabling in BeeHive the night before. She hadbugged the Control Room where the Generalnow occupied, attaching a very small uniquesurveillance camera on the wall. It was a veryflat device which was adjusted to fit into thelight switch.Sean sat across her on a couch inside BeeHive. He was disoriented and drowsy. Sophiahad injected him with a kind of serum to makehim lose consciousness. Sophia had got himquite easily. She knew the kind of attractionshe had on him and she had never doubtedher ability to use her charms on any man.As Sean walked out of the viewing room,Sophia had followed him immediately. Hewalked briskly and descended the stairs, taking a right as he entered the Gents. Heentered a cubicle, unzipped his fly and beganto pee.Sophia had entered quietly behind him withouthim noticing. She held a very small jack knifein her hand, placing it just on top of Sean’sd1ck cap. Sean’s urine ceased abruptly. Hecould not continue.“Hello baby. Miss me?” She said softly into hisear, using her tongue to stimulate the edges ofhis right ear.“Sophie. How did you find me?” Sean asked. His urine finally found a way of resuming, thebarely transparent liquid flowing into thebasin.“I always knew where you were Sean. I onlyneeded to wait out the goons who were alwaysaround you. Most especially that Dam who isalways clinging onto you like she owns you.”Sophia finished spitefully, the jack knifelowering harder on his limp d1ck.“Easy baby. I don’t know you to be a jealouslover. There is enough of me to go round youknow.” Sean said in a mock manner.Just as Sean was shaking the last few dropsof pee off his d1ck and putting it back in hispants, two tall men in black suits and darkshades opened the door to the cubicle anddragged Sean out. Sean did not even try tofight. They injected him with some form ofserum and he immediately passed out. Theydragged him through the emergency exit.Locking the door behind them, the mencarried Sean through the staircase behind thebuilding with Sophia following closely behind. There was a chopper waiting on the landingalready fired up and ready for lift off. The twomen had bundled Sean into the choppersandwiching him between them as Sophia satbeside the pilot. Sophia and her crew weremidway through their journey when Operadioed in. One .of the two men who hadcaptured Sean, handed over the phone toSophia“Target is visible. Looks disoriented. She’s inthe car park. Seems like she is looking forsomething. What’s your command Sophia?”Ope had asked“Just keep an eye on her. I doubt that shewould be a threat. She doesn’t do when she isemotionally destabilized and that is what wehave done. I do not see The Colonel aroundbut you have to make sure that you have youreyes wide open. He is the remaining part ofthis Take Out operation. As long as TheColonel is at large, we cannot relax. We havenot won. He is the only one who can cause usproblems now and inflict real damage. That isnot an option. However, if you notice anythingfunny or the least suspicious, do not hesitate.Take her out. Keep your senses Ope. This is avery crucial stage.” Sophia replied.“Roger that ma. We have found the location ofthe Colonel. After careful scanning andinfiltration of the perimeter, we located theirtemporary hideout. However, he was not in thebuilding when we got there. I have increasedthe number of agents and collected a fewexhibits. We are totally aware of his ability toblend in with his surroundings and disappearwithin the blink of an eye. We are leavingnothing to chance. We plan to box him in oncewe sight him.” Ope said.“Very well then soldier. Carry on. Keep meinformed on all proceedings. Over and out.”Sophia finished, ending the conversation. It had been a very quiet twenty second flight.Sophia did not really feel comfortable that shewas leaving Ope alone to handle the Colonelby himself but she had no choice. She had agreater demon to face and she had no shred ofdoubt in her mind that no one else could pullit off asides her. She swallowed saliva andclosed her eyes as the chopper descended toeighteen feet above the ground. They were600km away from Bee Hive. A huge Mackcooling truck came out of a right bend andsped on ahead of them. The chopper movedcarefully towards the van until it was directlyon top above it. The Van increased speed, moved a little distance away from the chopperand parked in the middle of the road. Thechopper moved forwards, reducing its speed asit got to the van. The chopper was back abovethe van. Carefully, the chopper landed on theroof of the van, its hinges sitting comfortablyon the van. . The pilot killed the engine of thechopper. He stepped out onto the roof of thevan and bent low, using customized ironrestraints to fasten the chopper to the van. When he was done he hit the roof of the vantwice and screamed at the driver below them:“Move!”The van began to move slowly, graduallyincreasing speed, carrying the chopper alongon its roof. Seven minutes later, they got tothe gate of the building where Bee Hive carriedout all its operations. The gate was desertedand the surveillance cameras did not scantheir vehicle for automatic access. Sophiasmiled. All was going according to plan. The pilot dropped a ladder from the chopperto the ground and got off the chopper first, followed by Sophia and then the two thugs. The second thug carried Sean on his shoulderas he descended the ladder. Sophia waited atthe gate as the thugs approached her.“I guess this is where we part ways. Youpromised I would get a full reward.” The pilotsaid to Sophia as the thugs stood beside her.“Yes I did. And I do not go back on my word,Never.” Sophia said. She nodded to the secondthug. He put his hand inside the b---m pocket ofhis jacket and took out three bundles ofhundred one thousand dollar bills. He handedit to the pilot, who collected it with a verypleased grin on his face.“Would you like to count them before youleave?” Sophia asked.“No. That won’t be necessary at all. Thankyou. It was nice doing business with youmadam.” The pilot said.“You are welcome. Now leave. I am expectingguests any moment. And remember, do notstart ignition till you get to the point where wejoined the Van. Am I clear?” Sophia asked.“Crystal clear ma’am” The pilot answered andheaded back to the ladder. He threw a bundle at the driver of the truckwho had been in the truck all along. Heclimbed the ladder, folded it and signaled tothe truck driver to move the truck. The truckreversed, faced the road and slowly picked upspeed as it headed back to the high way.Sophia had carefully estimated the time ittook for them to get to BeeHive from themoment the chopper landed on top of the van.It took about seven minutes. She had alreadyset her stop watch as the truck drove awayfrom the premises. She waited patiently for thealarm on her clock to go off. On exactly sevenminutes the alarm went off. She took out asmall black detonator which had a red buttonon it. She pressed the button. The Chopper exploded, its many partsscattering in different directions. The Van wasnot left out in the combustion as it also burstinto flames, the fire consuming everythinginside it. None of the men survived. There was a small keypad attached to the gatewhich allowed for entry into the building.Sophia entered the password and the gateopened inwards. They walked into the buildingwith Sophia in front and the thugs behind.Sophia got out her .43 gold plated automaticpistol from her hip, corking it twice andattaching the silencer as they approached thedoor. As they got to the front door and triedto enter, an agent came out from the back ofthe building walking towards them.“Good Evening Agent S. What brings you here?Is that not Sean?” The agent said surprised. The agent was a snitch, one of the numerousspies who were faithful to the General. He hada record of not keeping his mouth shut andrunning to the General with every bit of newinformation he got whether the informationwas relevant or irrelevant. Sophia could notrisk the chance. In the twinkle of an eye, she pointed the gunat his forehead and pulled the trigger. Thebullet pierced his left eye, coming back outthrough the back of his head. Blood splatteredall over his face. He fell in a heap. Dead.Sophia turned to the second thug who was notholding anything.“Take care of that. And make it snappy. Whenyou are done, stand guard out here and watchout for anything. Let me know if you findanything out of the ordinary” She said, puttingthe gun back in her hip.The thug nodded and went to the body. Hepulled the corpse by the hands, dragging himbehind the building. Sophia waited till he wasout of sight then pushed the buttons on thekeypad again. The door re-opened and theywent in. The thug carrying Sean moved himfrom his left shoulder to his right one.“He is heavy, yeah? You’re getting tired?”Sophia asked him.“No ma’am. Just balancing the pressure onboth sides of my body.” The thug replied. Heknew the danger of answering in theaffirmative. Sean was indeed heavy, weighingalmost the same as him. He was actuallygetting tired, but he dared not say that hewas. They walked quickly to an elevator and rode itto the third floor. The elevator stopped andthey got out. They stepped out onto a longcorridor with the walls decorated withsparkling white tiles. The ends of the corridorcould be seen from where they stood. Therewere no door, no windows, and no entrances. It was just a corridor.Sophia smiled. Tawo was smart but not verysmart. He had redesigned the building andhad the BeeHive floor reconstructed with noentry point. It was the perfect design. No onecould enter BeeHive from outside. The agentsin BeeHive were geeks, experts and gadgetfreaks who had no interest in any form ofsocialization. They lived, breathed and dranksecret codes, information, satellite redirectionand all other form of technological needs. They had no family. The random times theyhad to leave BeeHive, Tawo had specificallydesigned a special kind of goggle whichrendered anyone who wore it blind as long ashe had it on. Anyone except Ope.Ope had been able to find a way to bypass thegoggle’s programming. And to make matterseasier, Tawo had a lot of respect for Ope. Hesaw him as his successor, the younger brotherhe never had, and the friend he could rely on.He trusted Ope, perhaps a bit too much. Hehad told Ope the secret passage into enteringBee Hive. And Ope had told Sophia.Sophia walked right, advancing to the end ofthe corridor. She stood face to face with abrick wall. The thug behind her was beginningto pant now.“Lay him down over there and stand besidehim.” Sophia instructed pointing to theopposite wall behind him.He did as commanded, gently laying Seandown on the ground, resting his back on thewall. Sophia turned and began to count thetiles from her right.“B…E…E…H…I…V…E”When she had gotten to the last tile count, sheused her finger nail at the edge of that singletile, trying to claw out something. After a fewclaws, the tile face pulled off like a fakecoating. She pulled the whitish skin-like coveroff the tile to reveal a transparent screen likepanel, the exact same size as the tile. She puther whole left palm on the screen and applieda little pressure on it. The screen lit up andseconds later, some text appeared on thescreen with a small box underneath the text.“пароль”It was Russian for “Password”.Sophia clicked on the small box and a smallkeypad appeared covering the whole screen. Itcontained entirely Russian characters andsymbols. Sophia typed the characters as shehad been taught several times by Ope andpressed the activate key. The screen wentblank. After several seconds, the wall besideher to her right split open from the middlesideways. It was not actually a wall but adoor designed with bricks and tiles to lookexactly like the other parts of the wall. No onecould tell the difference.“Welcome agent Tawo.” A computerized voicesaid as Sophia stepped into the enclosure. She signaled to the thug and he quicklycarried Sean and brought him inside theenclosure. The door closed and the smallcubicle spun clockwise 180 degrees. As thedoor opened Sophia had pulled her gun outand had it behind her. They stepped into thelarge room which was divided into severalsections with lots of cubicles. There weretwenty seven workstations in all, with differentagents seated before them typing codes, tracing routes, writing algorithms andmonitoring surveillance. A few agents lookedup to stare at the new entrants but quicklycontinued with what they had been doingbefore. They did not seem to be too botheredwith who this woman was. None of them wastrained in any form of physical combat soaccosting them would be useless.Sophia walked confidently to a big table whichwas at the extreme end of the room. A man ina sweat shirt and jeans stood with his back tothem and his arms akimbo. He was starringseriously at a screen in front of him.Sophia walked to the table, hitting it a fewtimes with her free hand to get the man’sattention. The man turned and looked at her, staring in disbelief at the person who nowstood in front of him.“Sophia?” The man asked.“Hello Agent Nedu. Who is in charge of thingsdown here?” Sophia asked, sitting one butt onthe edge of the table.“I am.” Nedu replied.Sophia pulled out the gun from behind herhip, pointing it at Agent Nedu’s chest. Thefrightened look on his face almost made herchange her mind. He was a handsome lad, someone who could someday satisfy hers3xual fantasies. But she had a job to do. Shecould always find a boy to indulge hercravings.“Not anymore Nedu.” Sophia said. She shot Nedu on the chest, sending himbackwards. He fell, hitting the screen on thewall and dragging it down with him as he fell.He was groaning softly, fighting to stay alive.Sophia climbed the table, standing over himlike an eagle surveying its prey. He tried toreach into his pocket slowly, with the laststrength he had.Sophia shot him again, twice. She turned to face the agents in the room whowere now looking at her with fear written ontheir faces. They had all stopped what it isthey were doing. Sophia sat on the table, swinging her legs. She removed the cartridgeof the gun, checked the amount of bullets left, and inserted it back.“Have no fear agents. My name is Sophia. Iam your new Boss. Does anyone have anyobjections, questions or comments?” Sophiaasked looking round at the agents.A white chubby lady in glasses raised herhand, getting up on her chair. She wore a pinkflannel shirt on top of a black flair skirt withblack high heel shoes..“Oh. We have some one. Please step forward.”Sophia said. The lady got out of her seat and cametowards Sophia, standing six yards away fromher.“What is your name please?” Sophia asked.“My name is Anna.” The lady replied meekly.“You are a very courageous woman, Anna.Goodbye.” Sophia said and shot her in thehead.“Any other person?” Sophia askedsarcastically, looking around again. The room was very quiet. All that could beheard was the silent humming of the serversand the soft breeze from the air conditioners.Nobody spoke.“Good. Just as I expected. Now that we areclear, I want every single one of you to resumeyour normal duties. If I find anyone slightlysuspicious, that would be the end.”Everyone went back to their normal duties andacted as though nothing had happened. Thethug dropped Sean on a chair and took awaythe two bodies. She sat on the chair thatNedu had initially occupied, watching a littlescreen to her left.Thirty minutes later, the General had calledand she had answered. She waited patiently, watching him through the screen. Hescratched his bald head and paced the room, his hands held together behind him, deep inthought. After five minutes, he pressed thebutton.“Sophia, let’s talk. Can you come up?” TheGeneral pleaded.“I will tell you when I am ready Marcus. Keepyour fingers crossed.” Sophia replied.
